Teacher intervention is the first step in the disciplinary process for minor offenses. Common teacher interventions include, but are not limited to, reviewing classroom rules and expectations, student conferences, seating changes, increased communication with parents/guardians, behavior contracts, and teacher detentions. Teacher detentions may be served in the teacher’s room. Failure to serve a teacher detention may result in an Office detention.
